BIO
Laura Mach, RMT

Laura has a deep passion for massage therapy, healing, and movement. She loves to help her clients feel great and move better. She graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Georgian College in 2019 with honours and has been a practicing RMT since. Laura also holds certificates in Traditional Thai Massage, Cupping, Hot stone, and Indie head massage. She has also completed two, 200 hr yoga teacher trainings and is currently teaching yoga. She is a firm believer in play and in life long learning. She would be happy and grateful to share her knowledge and would love to be an aide in your wellness journey.
Laura uses many different techniques to achieve her desired outcome during treatment, mainly using Swedish massage techniques, alongside myofascial release, compressions, stretching and joint mobilization's.
Currently, Laura is working from home at the Ridge in Courtenay and in Comox by the Marina at Comox Valley Therapeutic Massage Center. You can check her normal working hours in the links below. Swedish Massage
Swedish massage can be relaxation based or deep tissue depending on the want and needs of the client. Using a series of techniques to decrease muscle tone, encourage blood flow and decrease stress.

Indie Head Massage
Indie Head treatments can be added on to a treatment or can be a treatment all on its own. This treatment is focused on the neck, scalp and face. There is also an optional aromatherapy included. Indie head treatments are great for relaxation, tension headaches and decreasing tension in the head, neck and shoulders.

Prenatal
Prenatal massage is a great way to keep the growing pains at bay during pregnancy. It is safe and recommended to help with the tension and stress that comes along with the beautiful experience.
